Vernal equinox

Spring kisses winter goodbye, the sun kisses the moon and the day kisses the night. Tonight, for a moment, opposites unite and stillness arises.

On the spring equinox, the forces of nature meet and for a second everything is in balance. Now comes the light, now comes life back. A day to celebrate, make wishes, and listen inward and set new goals and intentions for yourself. The spring equinox is nature's New Year's Eve and guess what, the crystals love it!

We humans experience the spring equinox as night and day being of equal length, and then the days quickly become brighter and brighter until it turns to Midsummer Eve when darkness returns.

This is the time when all life that depends on the sun returns. It sprouts, growls, glows and hisses everywhere. Life wants to make room. We humans suffer from growing pains, anxiety and fatigue. Life demands something from us again and we have to crawl out of the TV couch and the winter series. But we love it too. The best thing you can do during this time is a proper "cleanse", fast or ceremony to let go of the old and let the new take its place.

Which crystals are suitable and how do you do a ritual for the light?

The spring equinox is like an extra New Year. A ceremony can focus on welcoming the light and making room for it in your life. You can light candles, place crystals that are appropriate for the energy you want to invite, and write down what is important to you right now and what you want to happen in your life.

One tip is to use a Bagua (Feng Shui map) and go through area by area and see what the light can mean for change in each area. Begin a ceremony by clearing the energy with sage incense. Go into a quiet space within yourself, light a small piece of sage, and blow the smoke around yourself, spreading the smoke over your crystals, and throughout the room. Hold the intention in your mind that the smoke will collect negativity and carry it out. Open a window and let the sage smoke dissipate.

Now you can light an incense with a floral or sweeter scent to invite the good energies.

Go through the Bagua and write down what actions you want to take in the different areas. If you feel like you have a tendency to come up with more things that should be done than you actually do, it's better to just say one thing in each area and stick to it.

Think about what you give your energy to in your daily life. What are you giving energy to that no longer serves you? What patterns do you have that over and over again do the same thing, give energy to people, habits, things you do that are not good for you, that do not serve your purposes? Clean out your mental and spiritual junk and start focusing on what is good for you.

Choose crystals that suit the different areas you want to let the light in and place them in a circle. You can hold your hands over the crystals or hold them and meditate to strengthen the silence within you and the connection with your crystals.

Look within yourself and feel how the light transforms the energy in the equal areas and in the way you desire.

Celebrate! by dancing, playing happy, rhythmic, beautiful music that makes you happy. Celebrate that the light is back.
