Aum symbol, spiritual jewelry

Awm is one of the holiest of symbols and its sign represents the universe and the Hindu world soul. The Hindu teachings teach that the universe, the entire cosmos, came into being as a result of saying "AUM" out loud. Aum (om) consists of three different sounds:

A: stands for creation
U: stands for conservation
M: stands for destruction or dissolution

In meditation, the different sounds within the AUM represent the waking consciousness, the dream consciousness and the deep sleep level. Meditating and using AUM jewelry or mantras helps one find the inner stillness, one's soul, also called Atman.
