Herkimer diamond with inclusions
The Herkimer diamond is not a real diamond, but is so called because it is so clear and sparkling. It is a double-terminated quartz with natural points in both directions.
The variants are different in size, clarity and quality, hence the variation in prices and measurements.
A mini variant that is completely clear, a slightly larger variant with anthraxolite inclusions, which are plant remains, fossil carbon minerals enclosed in the quartz.
Comes from the place Herkimer north of New York, hence the name.
