Blue & indigo
Blue, indigo and royal blue represent intuition, dreams and presence.
Blue is also associated with twilight, water and the hidden.
The color indigo blue is the color of the third eye. The third eye, pituitary gland and frontal lobe are places in the brain that are affected by meditation.
Research on meditation
Scientific research can now show how meditation affects the brain. But there is much more to read about how positively the brain reacts to meditation.
The color blue helps us keep a "cool head", let thoughts flow past like water and make room for peace of mind. Peace and inner calm, in turn, give way to a greater depth in our thought processes and access to information that we do not have access to when the brain is running at full speed. Intuition, empathy, compassion, mystical experiences, and the ability to remember and understand one's dreams are aspects of an active third eye and a meditative presence.
